“Tres” an original painting & collage by Marilyn Radzat

“Tres” was created with acrylic and watercolor paints with a layering of paper mosaic collage pieces.
The colors and tones are vibrant and deep and with the images of antlers on each of the figures, I wished to create the feeling of a deep, mystical forest energy.
Forest and deer have always enchanted me. There’s something about hidden promises and mystical secrets that forests and deer evoke.

I first painted the faces onto a canvas and then around the faces
I applied torn strips of hand painted free flow patterns and designs that
I had created.
I applied these to the painting to create form and pattern of hair and back ground detail.
The painting then becomes complete with a final outlining of fine line black pen along with white lines for accents.
